a. Information You Provide to Us

• Account information: name, email address, phone number, service address, password
• Billing information: your payment card is collected and processed directly by Stripe, our payment processor. Five College Laundry never receives or stores your full card number — only a reference ID Stripe provides us so we can process future charges and refunds.
• Order details: pickup address, bag count, scheduled pickup and delivery windows, and order status
• Photos: our staff take a photo of your laundry bag at pickup and again at delivery, used to confirm handoff and resolve any disputes
• Communications: messages you send us by email or any other means you choose to contact us

b. Information Collected Automatically

• Device and usage data: our website may collect standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited. Our mobile apps do not include a dedicated analytics or advertising SDK; our backend automatically logs standard technical data such as IP addresses as part of normal server operation.
• Push notification token: if you enable notifications in the app, your device is assigned a token used solely to send you order status updates
• Cookies and tracking technologies: used on our website (not our mobile apps) for functionality and analytics — see Section 6

c. Information from Third Parties

• Payment confirmation data from Stripe, our payment processor
• Data from marketing or analytics partners (e.g., Google, Meta) when you interact with our ads

• Create and manage your account
• Schedule, fulfill, and track laundry pickups and deliveries
• Process payments and send billing communications
• Send order updates and service notifications (e.g., “your laundry has been picked up”)
• Respond to customer service inquiries
• Improve and personalize the Service
• Send promotional offers, where you've agreed to receive them (you may opt out at any time — see Section 8)
• Detect, prevent, and address fraud, security, or technical issues
• Comply with legal obligations

Five College Laundry performs all laundry processing in-house at our own facility. Unlike some laundry delivery apps that route your order to third-party laundromats or outside processing partners, your laundry is washed, dried, and folded by our own staff. We do not share your garments or laundry-related instructions with outside laundry processors.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service providerswho perform functions on our behalf, such as payment processing (Stripe), push notification delivery (Expo's push notification service), backend data storage and infrastructure, and website hosting and analytics providers
• Our delivery personnel/employees, limited to the information needed to complete your pickup or delivery (name, address, contact number, order details)
• Legal and safety purposes, if required to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Five College Laundry, our customers, or the public
• Business transfers, if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case your information may be transferred as part of that transaction

We do not share your personal information with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account and associated data (see Section 8).

Our website may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to:

• Keep you logged in
• Remember preferences
• Analyze site traffic and usage patterns
• Deliver relevant advertising

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some features of the website. Our mobile apps do not use cookies.

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information. Notably, your payment card details are never stored on our own servers — they are handled entirely by Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

• Marketing communications: You may opt out of promotional emails/texts at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us. You may still receive transactional messages related to your orders.
• Account information: You may review, update, or request deletion of your account information by contacting us.
• State privacy rights: Depending on your state of residence, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information (e.g., the right to know, delete, or opt out of certain data sharing). Contact us to make a request.

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Our website or app may contain links to third-party sites (e.g., social media, payment processors). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
